It suppresses gastric reflux and soothes, coats and protects the oesophagus. Gaviscon Advanced Liquid Peppermint lasts for up to 4 hours and starts to work in 3 minutes.

Do not take Gaviscon Advance Peppermint if: You know that you are allergic to Sodium alginate or any other ingredients of the product, including methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate|Take special care with Gaviscon Advance Peppermint: Gaviscon Advance Peppermint contains calcium, sodium and potassium|Take care in the following instances: If you are on a controlled salt diet (e.g. in some cases of congestive heart failure and renal impairment)|Any condition where you need to take care with the intake of sodium, calcium or potassium is regulated|Large doses of Gaviscon Aniseed may affect the rate and/or extent of absorption of other oral medicines| Usage for children under 12 is not recommended except on doctor’s advice

Usage Instructions

Adults and children over 12 years: 5-10 ml after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Not recommended except on doctor’s advice. Duration of treatment: Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days. Shake well before use. If you have the impression that the effect of Gaviscon Advance Peppermint is too strong or too weak, talk to you doctor or pharmacist. If you take more Gaviscon Advance Peppermint, then you should: If an overdose was taken, you may experience: A feeling of abdominal distension: (bloated or swollen stomach). Treatment of overdosage is symptomatic and supportive In the event of overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, seek help at the nearest hospital or poison control centre.
