Ingredients: Each 5 ml contains Sodium Alginate 500 mg in a thickened base containing calcium carbonate, carbomer, fennel flavour, potassium bicarbonate, and purified water.

Preservatives: Methylhydroxybenzoate 0,4 % m/v Propylhydroxybenzoate 0,06 % m/v.

Warnings: As congestive cardiac failure may result from excessive sodium absorption, Gaviscon Advance Aniseed should be administered with caution to patients on a highly restricted salt diet|Administration of potassium may cause hyperkalaemia in patients with renal failure|Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps may occur|Hypercalcaemia or alkalosis may occur following the regular use of calcium carbonate|Gaviscon Advance Aniseed should be administered with caution in patients with congestive heart failure, renal impairment, liver cirrhosis, hypertension, patients on steroids, hypocalcaemia, hypochlorhydia or patients on salt restricted diet|Large doses of Gaviscon Advance Aniseed may affect the rate and/or extent of absorption of other oral medicines|Gaviscon Advance Aniseed suspension contains calcium carbonate (100 mg per 5 ml)|Very large doses may produce a feeling of abdominal distention, Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

Usage Instructions: Shakewell before use. Adults and children over 12 years: 5 – 10 ml after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Not recommended except on doctor’s advice.
